Clinton Banducci was employed as a portfolio manager at Standard Equities in 1998 after completing his MBA at Edinburgh Business School (1997). In 1999 he joined Greenwich Securities in London where he was responsible for derivative research and corporate action arbitrage. However, his passion lay in trading and in July 2001 Appleton Securities employed him as a proprietary trader and thereafter SA Stockbrokers, where he continued to trade and manage private portfolios, providing him with 8 years’ experience as a successful proprietary trader, before starting Cratos Capital in 2009.

Andrew Gray began his career in the equities market as a portfolio manager at Appleton Securities in July 1999. He progressed from portfolio management to the institutional dealing desk where he managed and executed large institutional orders. During this time his interest in proprietary trading developed and was later given the opportunity to trade on the firms account. In May 2003 Andrew joined SA Stockbrokers as a proprietary trader. Here he managed his own as well as private client portfolios. In 2009 Andrew started Cratos Capital. His passion for the market, disciplined trading strategy and 10 years of valuable experience has contributed to his success as a proprietary trader.
DIRECTOR AND SHAREHOLDER
In 1990 Mike Teke started his career as a teacher. In 1992 he left his teaching post to pursue a career in business, where he joined Unilever in the human resources department. In 1994 Mike moved to Bayer (HRD manager) and then later Billiton. In (2005-2008) Mike joined Impala Platinum as head of Human Resources. In 2008 Mike co-founded Optimum Coal Holdings, where he held the position of CEO of the company for five years and completed the sale to Glencore. Presently Mike is the President of the Chamber of Mines, non-executive chairman of Richards Bay Coal Terminal and founding member of Dedicoal. Mike Teke joined Cratos Capital in 2012 and in doing so has brought a wealth of knowledge regarding management and strategic forward planning to ensure the continued success of the Cratos group.
Michael Dale is a Director at Cratos Capital Management and joined in August 2014. Michael’s primary responsible is to act as a Fund Manager and Research Analyst in respect of the portfolio’s managed at Cratos Asset Management.
Michael is a founding member of St John Capital and also serves as a Director of Cratos Asset Management. He has 10 years of corporate finance and investment advisory experience. Prior to establishing St John Capital and joining Cratos Capital Management, Michael worked for Deloitte Corporate Finance in the Merger & Acquisition and Debt Advisory team from 2007 to 2013 as well as working for Ballard Campbell & Partners, a UK based Corporate Finance boutique from 2003 to 2006. During his time as a Transaction Adviser he gained experience across various corporate actions including mergers, acquisitions, disposals, capital raising, leveraged finance, BEE equity transactions and private equity transactions. Michael qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte in 2003 and is a CFA Charter holder.

Greg qualified in 1997 as a certified Securities Trader and is an active member of the Institute of Financial Markets.
With an extensive and successful track record in the management of discretionary portfolios, Desmond joined Cratos Asset Management in October 2018.
After attaining an honours degree in Economics from the University of Witwatersrand, Desmond joined a JSE member firm in 1999 as a research analyst and within three years was working at Anglorand Securities as an analyst and portfolio manager for both private clients segregated portfolios and the firm’s collective investment scheme. With an extensive and successful track record in the management of discretionary portfolios (both on the JSE and globally), Desmond ultimately acted as Chief Investment Officer and Director of the group’s asset manager before joining Cratos Asset Managers as a portfolio manager.
Desmond occasionally allows his love of nature and birds to interrupt his reading of economic and market-related material.
Ron is a qualified stockbroker and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand.
